Matthew Schaaf, Director of Operations

Matt Schaaf has five years of experience as a Project Management Office (PMO) manager and financial operations executive. In this role, he has developed and led JDL’s efforts to schedule, design, track, and report on numerous IT projects and engagements in K-12 school districts, as well as universities, throughout the U.S.

Mr. Schaaf has developed automated timelines and schedule updates that provide sharp insights into costs and staffing tradeoffs, controlling operating expenses and maximizing profits both for internal management and client executives. He also has designed and maintains JDL’s highly interactive family of websites for its corporate plus EduVision, GrandStadium, Learning Symphony, and Video Furnace operations.

Previously, working with JDL’s forerunner, JDL Technologies, he implemented, managed and maintained layer 2 and 3 switch intranets for large K-12 school districts, including the remote management of the network developed for the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Education.

Mr. Schaaf brings strong experience in IT troubleshooting and correcting project issues with financial reporting, and has handled oversight and management of systems administrators for Tier 1 and 2 Networks as well as desktop support for both internal and external remote clients.

A graduate of Brown College, Mr. Schaaf currently makes his home in Minneapolis.
